What medicine will i take? i have cough for 1 week now and my throat is itchy the reason for me to cough frequently.

Cough itchy: Could be allergic reaction related to pollens as it is summer try benedryl 25 mg at night and zyrtec (cetirizine) in AM Also could be reflux . Would elevate head of bed at night ( pillow between between and box spring) and try ranitidine ( that will help for pollen allergies as well) may need inhaler for cough or may have mild infection and need antibiotics f/u w/ doc
