Risk of choking: The ages are a bit arbitrary. Each child is a little different developmentally. That being said, why would you want to give gummy vitamins to a child under the recommended age? Why would you take that risk? Is it worth the benefit? There are liquid infant vitamins that can be given safely. Just because the child can eat one doesn't mean you want to have her avoid choking every day.
