Have had a very dull but constant ache/throb in left neck and shoulder for few days. spreads down upper arm. also feels hot to touch, feel flush also.

Shoulder pain: One thinks a bit about your heart with symptoms like this, especially with flushing. However, pretty unlikely at your age, and would not feel hot to touch. My best guess is muscle spasm irritating the nerve bundle at your shoulder, or even higher up at your neck. I recommend seeing a doctor to help sort this out.
