Ferritin: Ferritin reflects the iron levels "in the bank" so to speak, or storage iron, not what is "in your wallet" or in circulation. It means there is iron deficiency, but you may be absorbing enough to keep hgb/rbc going. WBC varies by individual and various other factors & is unrelated to iron.
