Not usually: Doug, an ER is not the best place to go for CDiff unless you are dehydrated or have a fever or severe pain or are unable to drink liquids. You should contact the person who prescribed the antibiotics and ask what to do now. Meanwhile, see the checklists on avoiding dehydration. Good luck to you in getting over this. You will, but it can be a long process.

C diff: It appears that you may need stronger therapy for the c diff infection. If you show signs of dehydration, excessive weakness, uncontrollable diarrhea, abdominal pain or fever, then go to the hospital er. Otherwise discuss stronger antiC diff treatment with your physician.

That is an option.: If you are dehydrated and are unable to keep up with your fluid intake,or the pain is unbearable,or your mental clarity is being affected,or if you are having muscle cramps ,then go in to the ER.Otherwise,go in to see your perscribing Doc for an assessment tomorrow.
