Return to your MD: If you have recurrent diarrhea, it is important to try to ascertain the cause to treat it properly. This may require stool studies or other tests. If these do not show a cause of the recurrent diarrhea, A referral to a gastroenterologist may help. In the meantime, drink plenty of fluids. You have to replace the fluid you are losing to avoid dehydration. Good luck.
