Sinusitis: If persistent sinusitis other factors may be affecting : allergies, food intolerances and reflux. Elevate head of bed ( pillow under mattress), zyrtec , prevecid 1/day, food diary (does nasal congestion worsens w/diff foods) . Repeat antibiotics can get resistence, change GI bacteria, get diarrhea or C difficile , rarely colitis, take 1 probiotic/day to help. So far you're OK F/U w/ENT

Sinusitis: After 3 rounds of antibiotics and a history of polyps, you should have a CT and follow up with ENT for other investigations. There are complications but they are rare. All the best.

Didn'tNeedAntibiotic: Not enough information to give specific advice, but generally most sinusitis is viral in origin with some patients getting a secondary bacterial sinusitis. Sinusitis will usually resolve on it's own within 3 weeks. Indications for antibiotics are severe pain in one sinus, high fever, profuse purulent nasal discharge lasting more than 10-14 days. Polyps usually treated with nasal steroids. *comment
