What are signs a g tube site is not healing/closing after removal? what's the best way to clean the site after removal?

Clean & moist : Keep the site clean AND moist with a moist gauze pad. Ok to shower. If there is no stomach contents coming bout, it is healing. That would be green liquid. Hope this helps!

If it leaking fluid: The site should usually close in 2-3 was and completely heal in 4-6 weeks. Sometimes it may need a stitch if the tube was there for very long.
