Costochondritis or ?: What meant by severe cold + duration of cold? Possibly a sinusitis with post nasal drainage causing coughing. If so , excessive coughing can cause extra use of ribs and muscles between the ribs, stretching ligaments .This is Costochondritis + can cause stabbing pain when twisting or coughing. Also could be infection-Bronchitis or even Gall Bladder(pain RU abdomen ) . If so, need to see doctor
