I am going for labs for ongoing stomach/chest pain but they say 6 tubes may be needed, more than usual 4. can they just use 4 tubes versus 6 for labs?

LAB TESTIMG: It depends on the labs your doctor ordered. Check with your doctor if you need to be fasting. If you are worried about getting too much drawn on one day, ask him to give two lab orders and break up the draw.
