They raise BP!: You have identified the foods that contain substances that seem to aggravate high blood pressure. While ingesting salt does not actually cause high blood pressure, one you have it or are at risk for it, excess salt in diet retains fluid increasing blood volume and pressure. Alcohol also raises blood pressure, and fat is associated with weight gain causing high blood pressure. Limit all 3!
