Doc said it's stronger then panic attacks, brain gets or sends false alarm that lungs are low in o2 feels like suffocating, can't breathe, what is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fight or flight: Your doc may be referring to the 'fight or flight' response which triggers a variety of physical symptoms during a severe panic attack including hyperventilating or rapid breathing. Response can occur spontaneously/for no apparent reason or triggered by a perceived danger. Panic attacks are treatable.
