Anesthesia: Can have a worsening effect on the acute kidney you have illustrated in the above question. The creatinine and BUN are very high and w/o addressing the kidney function (dialysis if needed) the risks for anesthesia and surgery increase greatly.

Possibly: In anesthesia there is a possibility that the techniques we use could raise the BUN and creatinine after a procedure. The numbers you mention are higher than we would expect. I would check with your nephrologist to see what else is causing the problem.
