Yes: get a copy of the Denver Developmental Screening Test and insstructions on how to use it. It has a bunch of rectangles on it. The key takeaway is that there are a wide range of ages at which perfectly normal children accomplish certain milestones. A child can even be "delayed" in one area and still be considered normal.
