Doctor can evaluate: First, one can make a diary by writing down everything that is eaten, including probiotics, juice, candy, and gum. The diary should be in calendar form, and include the symptoms each day. Then, a primary care doctor or gastroenterologist (stomach specialist) can look at the diary and see what might be causing the gas. Some possibilities are lactose intolerance, too much dietary fiber, etc...

This sounds like..: ...irritable bowel syndrome. Make sure other conditions have been excluded. IBS is a motility disorder...the smooth muscles in the GI tract are mismatched and do not contract in a coordinated way to move the contents along. Gas can get trapped. Reduce gas by eating/drinking more slowly, avoiding carbonated beverages and chewing gum, try Beano. Consider prebiotic soluble fiber supplement, Acacia.
