Enlarged gallbladder: Gallbladder is located beneath your lower edge of your ribs on the right side. It can enlarge if gallstones block it.

Right side abdomen: The gallbladder sits underneath the liver on the right side of the abdomen just a few centimeters under the rib cage. Even if it is enlarged the gallbladder may be hard to feel through the abdominal wall (the skin, fat and muscles).
