No Problem: Here are Diet instructions 12 hours before your appointment: Eat a low carbohydrate diet. Foods like meat, hard cheese, tofu, eggs, and vegetables with no starch can be eaten. Foods like cereal, pasta, milk, breads and other sugars are NOT allowed. 6 hours before your appointment: Stop eating 6 hours before your appointment; however, you may continue to drink water.

Probably not: Usually not eat or drink 6 to 8 hours not eating prior to scan. Drink 24 to 36 ounces water night before exam. Refrain from exercise for 48 hours before test.
