Mononucleosis...: ...usually wouldn't be confused with sinusitis, i.e. usually no nasal congestion, drip, or sinus pain. Any common cold can cause the same symptoms as mono. If you remain concerned, or were exposed to someone with mono (kissing, having sex), discuss with your doc. All doctors who care for teens know all about mono and your doc can test for it, but I'm guessing it isn't necessary.
