Weight loss: is more complicated than just calculating how many calories you are burning on a trendmill. What you eat, when you eat it, your total activity level, even how well you are sleeping and your psychosocial stress levels all play a role. If you are trying to lose weight than 1 pound a week is great. Keep doing what you are doing. Try to slowly increase the amount of exercise you are doing.

Approximation: Your treadmill is set up with a very non specific formula for calculating calories burned. Also remember there is water loss due to sweating which causes loss of weight but does not figure into calories burned. Bottom line is if you want to lose weight and are doing so, great. If you are not trying to lose weight and are doing so, please see your doctor for evaluation. Hope this was helpful.
