A member asked:

Ast 136, alt 229, and prolactin 23.5 (slowly increasing last test was 2 months ago at 23). what could be wrong with me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Address liver first: These values are very seriously off while your prolactin is minimally up and may simply be there because of liver disease. You may have your liver tests repeated off alcohol or meds, or your physician may move at once to testing for hepatitis B and C, hemochromatosis, Wilson's, autoimmune hepatitis, and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. Remember that your liver loves it when you exercise.
