TMJ syndrome: The most ear pain is not caused by an inner ear infection it caused by TMJ. The temporo-mandibular joint is located extremely close to the ear canal and middle ear and mimics year problem. Sometimes, people will think that they have a sinus infection because of the combination of facial pressure and ear pain that they experience due to TMJ. See your PCP for diagnosis.
