When i chew gum too long, my ear pops and it hurts. why does this happen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

TMJ: Chewing gum is bad for the TMJ (joint). The longer you chew gum the harder it becomes and the harder you chew which adversely effects the tmj. Don't chew it as long.
