See below: There is a phenomenon known as interstitial cystitis, or painful bladder syndrome, that often affects women and creates this chronic uti-like cluster of symptoms without an actual infection, and respond somewhat to antibiotics but never fully. It is poorly understood, and treatment is not standardized. See your doctor for further evaluation and trials of different regimens to see what works!
