Eye issues: Posterior vitreous detachment and catarct surgery are both factors that can increase your risk for retinal tears or detachement. You should see an eye care provider who will not only dilate your eyes, but do a peripheral exam of the retina with a contact lens to macke sure no holes, tears or other pathology is there.
