Post operated patiant 7 yaeer back. now diagnose small hypodence lesion of approx 1.8 cm in left lobe. suggested pet scan. pls advise?

Hx of Cancer?: If your operation was for cancer treatment, and now there is a pulmonary nodule, then the pet scan would be used to determine if it metabolically active. If it is, then there is suspicion of cancerous lesion. Biopsy or resection would be recommended.

Good choice: F18 FDG pet/ct scan is a great test for evaluating a pulmonary nodule of that size. If the nodule is hypermetabolic (takes up alot of fdg), it needs further evaluation. After the scan, make sure to follow up with your health care provider.
