I have inflammation in my eye which my doctor says is inflammation from an inflammatory autoimmune disease. do i need to see a neurologist?

Possibly: It depends on the specific underlying autoimmune disease. Many of those diseases are rheumatologic, not neurologic. Ask your ophthalmologist which you should see.
