Hi Dr, how accurate is the antibody part of a 4th generation test at detecting hiv-2 at 38 days post exposure since p24 is not detectable on hiv-2. Doc has said I am conclusive about my negative status. Exposure was in Thailand.
I had a high risk exposure (unprotected sex multiple times a night) with unknown HIV status person mid Jan. Since then, I did 4th generation duo tests at days: 35, 50, 80 and 100 days + RT PCR and antibody at 90 days. All negative/undetectd. Am I OK?
Hello, had an HIV-1/HIV-2 Qualitative RNA and HIV-1/HIV-2 antibodies and HIV-1 p24 antigen and an RPR, Rfx Qn RPR/Confirm TP done at 28 days post exposure with a female unknown status. All came negative. Do I need further testing?
Is test Conclusive, if HIV tested negative after 5 months using oraquick swab antibody? Or 6 mon test mandatory to know status ?
