What are differences among snf, rcfe, and nursing home?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It Ain't Like Home: One, a SNF, you're stuck-in because you need medical care (they have *Skilled *Nurses at the *Facility; a Nursing Home). The other (RCFE) is a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (60+) where, although many have illnesses, they can be autonomous or semi-autonomous and there are lots of amenities there (cafeteria, games, barber, whatever). RCFE's can cost a lot per month (up to 7 grand or more).
