Heartburn : Heartburn and bowel function are generally not related, though stress can certainly affect them both. I would suggest some ranitidine twice daily to help with heartburn, you can get that over-the-counter and follow directions on the box.

No: You need to know which end is up and which is down. For persistent severe heartburn see a DR because it may be something important to treat.
