Depends: A redundant colon doesn't necessarily cause pain and nausea. Ask your doctor about a referral to a colorectal surgeon, and whether it not a sitz marker study should be done. Hope this helps!

Need medical workup: redundant colon not primary cause of spasms/nausea, and underlying cause e.g. chronic constipation/diarrhea, hormonal problems e.g. diabetes/hypothyroidism, and food intolerances such as sprue/lactose intolerance etc need to be ruled out to determine underlying causes/improve symptoms. This requires careful review diet/history and tests-would advise seeking a gastroenterologist-Happy to consult
