Starch/sugar: Avoiding processed starch (white starch) as well as sugar (soda, very sweet fruits, candy, pastry, etc.) are the key to losing abdominal fat or avoiding fat gain in the abdominal region. I strongly suggest eating a diet balanced with lean protein, fish/plant based fat as well as complex carbohydrates and vegetables and some fruit on a daily basis.
