A member asked:

Hat are antioxidents and what are they good for?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Still in testing: It is a general feeling that there is molecular damage in the body from breakdown products of oxygen termed "free-radicals". These are highly reactive chemicals which might cause aging and other damage. Anti oxidants reduce this risk by binding and chemically neutralizing these free radicals. However no good testing has proven this; experiments are being run however.
