Yes: it's very common for reflux to cause pain in the epigastrium. If you get discomfort in that region that you suspect is from reflux, it is appropriate to try an antacid to see if it helps. It is important to try to follow anti-reflux precautions and to take your reflux medication on a regular basis. Good luck.
