Can reactive neck lymph nodes feel more oval than round? have a lymph node that i think feels about 2cm x 1cm in size (feels much longer than wide).

Yes: It can. But best to see doctor and have this evaluated to be sure it is not something else. If that big best to be evaluated. Several other things besides enlarged lymph nodes can cause masses in the neck. Hope this was helpful Best of luck with this. Dr. R

Lymph nodes: Benign lymph nodes are generally quite symmetrical. If you have a lymph node like mass that stands out and doesn't recede within two weeks, I recommend that you consult an otolaryngologist for evaluation of this mass and he/she will advise whether a biopsy is indicated.
