???: Not being judgemental but at age 44, I am not certain why you are depending on your mom to take you to the doctor. If it is problematic i would call and make an appointment with a local shoulder specialist. You may have a torn labrum which likely will require surgery to stabilize your shoulder. Need to make sure you don't have bone involvement as well so imaging will be necessary & examination.
