Sometimes if:: Colon cancer often spreads to the lungs and this would cause breathlessness. If for some reason the patient is very anemic it's possible he/or she would be short of breath.

Yes but rare: metastatic colon cancer for the most part is an intra peritoneal problem. At times nodular lesions are seen in the lung, but to cause breathlessness ,involves mediastinal structures. Here extensive invovlvement of mediastinal nodes would be required unless there was tracheal compression higher up in the chest cavity, something not commonly seen in metastatic colon Ca
