Shoulder pain when there's exertion e.g. swimming. did physio n exercise for 10 months. no change. other than mri, any other way to know what's wrong?

Shoulder pain: Shoulder pain that has not responded to PT can have many causes, including repetitive injury (the exercise may be exacerbating your pain) The best way to find the cause is MRI with gadolinium placed into the shoulder joint prior to imaging, or if you cannot have an MRI, then a shoulder CT with contrast in the shoulder joint prior to CT. Also Orthopedic Surgery consultation, and possible scope.
