Wrist injury: Not all traumatic injuries result in a bone fracture(s), but can result in damage to the cartilage, ligaments and/or tendons, which cannot be seen on plain film x-ray alone,. Also, some bone fractures are subtle. The best modality to evaluate the soft tissue structures for injury is with MRI. If pain does not improve or worsens, consult your doctor to assess the best course of action for you.
