A member asked:

Hello doctor fatima here! i have a question ........i would like for yr concern ...i hv got results of my cp test it confirmed anisocytosis hypochromi?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anemia: Anisocytosis is a large variation in the size and shape of the red blood cells (They are usually smooth, uniform and disk-shaped). Hypochromia means that the red blood cells are pale because they contain too little hemoglobin (the oxygen carrying molecule of the red blood cell). These findings are consistent with a moderately severe iron-deficiency anemia. Hopes this info helps!
