Normal variant?: It's possible that it could be a narrowing of the vein between there and the heart, or a clot in the vein, but either of those would be extremely unlikely in a healthy 20 year old man without a significant surgical history. The more likely cause is that it is just a normal variant. We all have a little abnormality or asymmetry with one thing or another.
