Intraocular pressure: Intraocular pressure, iop. Normal is between 10-21. This is a rough indicator of the relative pressure in the eye. Fluid is formed behind the lens and flows into channels in the front of the eye. Elevated pressure can indicate glaucoma, that can cause vision loss. Low pressure can indicate the eye is very sick, from inflammation or scarring.

Air puff & IOP: The air puff tonometer is a popular way of measuring the eye pressure using a non contact technique. Eye pressure or intra ocular pressure as it is also known is an important measurement of the eye health. It can vary slightly by time of day and in response to drugs. The normal range is somewhere between 8 and 23, but that also depends on other factors. It can also be measured by contact.

Pressure: The air puff is a way of measuring the pressure of the eye. It is a screening test to make sure the pressure is not high, which if it is high, it would be a risk factor for developing glaucoma (or you may already have glaucoma). A normal reading would be between 7-21 mm hg.
