No: UTI"S are caused by a number of problems. They can be caused by vaginal atrophy(dryness) Trauma ; Vaginal irritation or infection of the vaginal canal; sex with a partner that is carrying an infection; Long standing foley; Prolapse uterus. These are just a few ways to get a UTI

Sometimes: while it is true that the bacteria have to get there from somewhere and while we know that poor hygiene can increase your risk of getting a UTI, sometimes it can be unavoidable. women are more likely to get UTIs because there is a shorter distance from the bacteria to the bladder, and pregnant women are more likely to have slow flow so bacteria collect more easily.
