Honeymoon cystitis: This is a common mechanism for innoculating the bladder with ones own normal colonic bacteria which results in cystitis. Drinking lots of fluids, voiding immediatley after intercourse and drinking cranberry juice daily can reduce the incidence. If cystitis persists, see a urologist for other options.
