Yes: Yes, in my opinion, 3 weeks in a neck brace is too long for a simple cervical strain. If you still need to wear a neck brace 3 weeks after injury, then further studies such an MRI should be considered. If it is just a strain, collar rarely used long secondary to causing iatrogenic stiffness and atrophy.
