A member asked:

Is an iron level of 44 low enough to cause symptoms of constant tiredness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Iron and fatigue: For most labs, that level would be low, but fatigue is a very non-specific symptom that can be related to many things. If the low iron is associated with anemia (low blood hemoglobin- the oxygen-carrying protein) your cells may not be getting the oxygen they need to function normally. Best to find out why your iron is low, get it corrected and see if you don't feel more energy.
