Maybe : Gabapentin tends to improve the quality of the sleep but amitriptyline tends to be better in helping with sleep. Why don't you give it a try for about 6 weeks; if sleep becomes an issue then you can discuss with your doctor about using both gabapentin and amitriptyline as they are often combined.
