Can't sleep: Amitriptyline & Mirtazapine both should help sleep if the dosages are adjusted, or adding a supplement such as Melatonin might be another option. Review with your doctor.

Talk to your doctor : Amitriptyline can be increased to see if this helps. However, this medication does have potential side effects such as drowsiness (which is what you want at night for sleep), dry mouth, constipation, urinary retention and decreased memory (especially in the elderly). Talk to your doctor about your specific treatment options. Hope this helps. Best wishes!

You may need a sleep study for a thorough evaluation of your sleep problems and recommendations for treatment.
