My daughter emra keeps having nightmares about people dying and she doesn't want to sleep but when she a at her grandmas they go away, why is this?

It is fear: Fear of loosing dear ones, can cause such nightmares. You may want to talk about it, and discuss where thius is stemming from. Conversations may have been over heard by her, which is internalised. They are not always rational at that gae and need help coping with the concept and idea of death.

Situational: Something in your daughter's life may be upsetting her that she doesn't recognize and can't explain to anyone. This may be triggering some past event that is connected to you and home but less so at grandma's eg. anniversary of someone's death, loss of a pet etc. Suggest you ask your daughter and/or check around to see what might be stressing her. Also talk to grandma who may be wise to something.
