Upper 1st molar that was decayed extraction was 11 days ago by surgeon. primary dentist told me its healing slower then normal. still have minor pain there and the sides of hole are red. no infection in tests. why is it not healing correctly?

Healing can vary widely among patients and procedures. Social habits (smoking or drinking)? Medications? As long as you are healing for the better, don't worry too much.
