GERD + IBS: The pain below the sternum suggests GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).Acid stomach contents travel upwards into the esophagus, irritating the lining. Green stools may be IBS (irritable bowel) due to rapid movement through the intestine, not allowing time for bile to be digested. Often spicy, high fat, acidic foods trigger. Add fiber, ? probiotic. Try OTC antacids, proton pump inhibitors.
